The Grafschaft Mark spirit Old Apricot welcomes you with a soft mouthfeel with a full fruity aroma of apricots, which are caught by the nutty stone tone of the fruit kernel and give the brandy an extraordinarily sensual structure.
The apricot (Prunus armeniaca) is a Marille in the Bavarian-Austrian language area and belongs to the rose family (Rosaceae). This spirit is made from the brandy of fully ripe apricots. A barrel aging of the distillate rounds off the aroma with vanilla and caramel notes.
In addition to the traditional cultivation areas of these fruits in the Wachau in Lower Austria, in Lake Kitten in Burgenland, in the Vinschgau Valley in South Tyrol and in the Swiss canton of Valais, there are also growing regions in Germany.
