Old Plum - barrel-aged spirit 0.7l w/ 40% vol. - Grafschaft Mark

This spirit is strongly reminiscent of a Christmas cake of English or Irish tradition, which is named after Christmas, but is also enjoyed outside of the festive season. The dark fruit cake is related to our fruit bread and is always soaked with brandy or whisky so as not to get too dry. So the Old Plum is fruit bread in a jar – without any crumbs!

Distillers description:

Nose: Rum and whisky-soaked plums, dried plums and figs, subtle almond notes like amaretto, similar to Japanese ume liqueur

Taste: juicy fruit bread with dried plums, figs and raisins, again some amaretto, caramel, the typical barrel aromas are still covered and only show their intensity in the aftertaste

Finish: Caramel, dried fig, spicy notes of ripe from oak barrels
