As early as 1776, Peter Stobbe began to mature the Stobbe Machandel in the barrel. The Stobbe 1776 Blackcurrant also followed this tradition for the 240th anniversary of the company. Today's Stobbe 240 barrel filling, matured in Bourbon barrel for 12 months, combines the classic Stobbe with the fruitiness of black currant with the fine acidity of bergamot and a mild wood note. The red cross on the clear bottle signalizes the barrel with 43% vol.
